Pastor David Zimmerman

President – Faith Baptist Church, Maricopa, AZ

Pastor David Zimmerman was born in South Texas, but grew up in Southern California and Oklahoma. At the age of 13, he was invited to ride a bus to Sunday School. That Sunday, he heard the Gospel and shortly thereafter received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Pastor Zimmerman met his wife, Terri, while attending college in Colorado. They have enjoyed 37 years of marriage together. They have three sons and nine grandchildren.

Pastor Zimmerman is a 1985 graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He has served for four years as a missionary in Ghana, West Africa, nine years as assistant pastor at Bethel Baptist Church of Grapevine, Texas, and thirteen years as the senior pastor at Bible Baptist Church of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He also served as an adjunct professor at Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City, teaching courses in the Bible and Theology departments. Finally, Pastor Zimmerman also received CLEET training to serve as a law enforcement chaplain. It was his privilege to work with the men and women of the Sapulpa Police Department in that capacity for eleven years.

Pastor Stephen Zimmerman

Vice Chairman – Lifeway Baptist Church, Tucson, AZ

Pastor Stephen Zimmerman was born in Texas into a pastor’s home. As a young boy, he spent nearly two years with his parents as missionaries to Ghana, West Africa. Though he grew up in church, it wasn’t until the age of 13, that Pastor Zimmerman accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior while attending church camp. One year later, Pastor Zimmerman surrendered to preach.

In 2006, Pastor Zimmerman joined the United States Air Force and served six years on active duty. He served two tours in the Middle East and was awarded seven Air Medals, a Commendation Medal, and the rank of Staff Sergeant. In 2006, Pastor Zimmerman also met his wife Leanna, a California native, and they were married in Spring 2007. Leanna is also a veteran and a 2003 graduate of West Coast Baptist College. They have four children: two girls and two boys, and also foster.

Pastor Zimmerman is a graduate of the Heartland Baptist Bible College. After graduation, he served an internship at Whittier Lane Baptist Church, New Castle, IN. It was during this time that God began working in his heart to start a church in Northwest Tucson, AZ. Answering God’s call, Pastor Zimmerman and his family moved to Tucson in February 2015 to begin Lifeway Baptist Church.  He also served as an adjunct professor for three semesters at Sonrise Baptist Bible College.

Pastor Brent Loveless

Treasurer - North Valley Baptist Church, Phoenix, AZ

Pastor Brent Loveless is a native of Oklahoma and was called to preach while attending Eastland Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK. After graduating from Bible college and interning at a church for three years, Pastor Loveless started a new church in the small community of Coweta, OK. He pastored there for eight and a half years before God led him to take the pastorate of North Valley Baptist Church of Phoenix, AZ in April of 2005.

Since then, the Lord has blessed, and the church has grown numerically. When Pastor Loveless took the church, it was averaging about ninety-five in attendance and the facilities were sound but dated. He immediately instituted an outreach program and God began to bless. The church has seen steady growth throughout the past several years.

Pastor Steve Lain

Secretary - Gateway Baptist Church, Dewey-Humboldt, AZ

Pastor Steve Lain was saved at the age of 10 when his grandmother lead him to the Lord. In 1993 at youth camp, he surrendered to serve the Lord in full-time ministry. Pastor Lain attended Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College / Heartland Baptist Bible College where he met and married Heide Huddlestun in December of 1996. In May of 1999, the Lains graduated from Bible College and moved back to Stockton, CA. to minister in their home church, Stockton Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Steve Kihlthau.

In May of 2002, Pastor Lain was ordained into the gospel ministry by his home church, Stockton Baptist Church. He was sent out to minister in Gateway Baptist Church, Dewey-Humboldt, AZ under Pastor Jim Winkler. Upon Pastor Winkler’s retirement in 2004, Gateway Baptist Church called Steve Lain to be their pastor. Pastor Lain is a man with a God-given vision to reach the Quad-City area with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
